Independent Collaborators are Always Open to Work
As a solopreneur, independent consultant, and collaborator, I’m always open to work.
I’m telling you this because, as I continue to rebuild my business, I don’t think LinkedIn’s green label serves me since I’m not looking for formal employment. I highly value my autonomy, flexibility, and collaborative potential to help so many more when not tethered to one organization (I chose this picture to show two of the reasons I value flexibility!).
And while I love connecting 1:1 with so many of you (and please, let’s keep doing this!), it’s also impractical for scaling communication around my availability. So, I need you, my incredible network, to know that I’m here and have capacity to help you in the coming months as I scope larger projects that inherently take more time to finalize.
Grounded in human-centered design, collaboration, and extensive health as well as management consulting experience, what I offer is great for leaders, particularly in health or adjacent to health, looking to collaborate creatively and strategically with teams and cross-disciplinary partners (internally or externally).
I’ll meet you where you are in your annual planning and execution. Reach out if you need a partner to help with:
- Fostering understanding
- Clarifying or framing opportunities
- Aligning stakeholders
- Shaping strategy
- Facilitating change
- Building capabilities in human-centered design
I think sometimes there’s a misperception that you have to have a BIG project that’s worth doing for everyone involved in order to work with me. You don’t!
In other words, don’t let perfect be the enemy of good enough…or small enough to take the first step.
While project scopes can take many forms, here are 5 practical suggestions for how to think about using me for a short-term opportunity that might last anywhere from a few hours to 1 day to 1 month (or longer if ongoing or deployed across multiple areas):
1️⃣ A workshop/meeting/retreat facilitator
2️⃣ A coach-sultant thought partner
3️⃣ A key stakeholder/constituent interviewer
4️⃣ An on-demand design strategist
5️⃣ A human-centered design teacher/trainer
The truth is that I’m always open to work and talking about what’s next, so you’re always welcome to reach out.
When you're ready, I'm happy to listen and explore if there's anything on your plate I can help with (now or in the future).
